i have long thought cufflinks to be an incredibly stylish part of fashion. ultimately not for me, but something i’m always glad to be part of. whether it’s buying them for people, thinking about buying them for people, or even focusing on people’s sleeves when they are wearing cufflinks… the whole process is amazing. i don’t know why. it has been suggested that since i am a life-long lover of shiny things, it is obviously the magpie side of my personality coming to the surface. we may never care know.
anyway, i came across this and needed to share with you all. they’re custom cufflinks! even better, they’re replicas of old NES game cartridges. this is awesome: laura swingle [aka the clay collection] takes old nintendo games, makes a likeness of them in clay and voila! you get to amaze everyone at any public event. or, if you’re less of an exhibitionist, you can sit in the dark and quietly fondle them in the privacy of your own home.
jokes aside, you can get any game you want on these things, just as long as she can find the game art on the internets. as an added bonus, she does playstation games!
these works or art are going to cost you anywhere between $19-$22. go forth and visit laura swingle on etsy to place your order. if that’s not your style, there are many other jewellery options, like necklaces and stuff.
