a while back, google made their iconic logo into the classic pacman game. well, folks, the game is over and the costs are in. people apparently spent an extra 36 seconds on the google homepage on those days.
no, what was really the shock was this: those extra seconds adds up to a whopping 4.8 million wasted hours. a study by rescuetime indicates that this cost the [i’m presuming global] economy a total of 4,819,352 hours. worse? it’s a whopping $120,483,800 in lost productivity. that’s nothing to the idiots who used firefox. these clever bastards complained in droves that they ‘couldn’t figure out what was happening’ and wondered if ‘firefox had been hacked’.
hahahaha. it’s just interesting seeing how something so simple has become such a classic. if you didn’t get a chance to play the game, google still has pacman available on their site. go ahead. it’s addictive.
