lately, i have been spending a lot of time in google maps. i love it. sometimes after playing a mission in AC3, i’ll check out what the modern italy equivalent looks like. i haven’t been there yet, but italy is so beautiful. i can’t imagine what it would to be like, sitting in the shadow of something ancient like the colosseum with a laptop, wirelessly surfing the web. the fusion of past and present is so amazing. i’ve been to a couple of places in europe, and i love how the architecture is one seamless blend.
i will tell you something else that is amazing: the scenery in AC3. today’s present day colosseum obviously looks a lot different than ezio’s time. after playing the second assassin’s creed, i thought about how cool it would be to have something like google historical maps, taking modern cities and detailing the changes made to them over the years. little_nerdxo, our friends and i have also had discussions about this. obviously, that would be a huge undertaking, the scope of which wouldn’t be a quick or painless process.
google, since you are reading, let’s get on this.
